Amir was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and graduated with high distinction in June 2024, earning a B.S. in Chemistry from the American University of Beirut (AUB), where he was awarded the Haddadin Award for the outstanding chemistry student. During his undergraduate studies, Amir focused on environmental–analytical chemistry research under the guidance of Dr. Antoine Ghauch, working primarily on developing new methods to remove micro-contaminants from water and creating innovative analytical techniques with environmental applications. In fall 2024, he began his PhD in the Arndtsen group, researching 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions for heterocycle synthesis. Outside of academics, Amir enjoys traveling, music, and partying. |
